FEEDBACK FROM THE CUSTOMER
“We worked with Fawns to create our new EYFS outdoor area. Fawns had been recommended to us by the former headteacher of another school, and we were very impressed with the design and the professionalism of the team we worked with. The build was completed within the time frame given and all the equipment is of a very good standard. I would certainly have no issue working with Fawns again.”

BACKGROUND
Rufford Primary School is situated in the market town of Stourbridge.
The school has a strong vision to ensure every child, without exception, should be proud of who they are and leave the school for the next stage with all the skills and knowledge needed to thrive.
PROJECT BRIEF
As part of the school’s development plan it was noted that the Early Years Area desperately needed to be updated, there were approximately 70 tyres in the area and fencing that was damaged due to the number of years it had been there.
An entirely new play space was required to cover all 7 areas of learning, mainly focusing on children’s language skills and physical development.
DESIGN PROCESS
Our play consultant Adam visited the school and discussed plans and ideas with the assistant headteacher. One of the main concerns was that the area flooded, but Adam came up with a solution while creating a bright, eye-catching design that made the most of the space.
All areas of learning were considered during the process and further discussions between Adam and the school resulted in a perfect final proposal.
The new playground was installed in September 2023.
